Controls

  • All games, missions or phases will be started and finished with a single blast from an air horn.

Hits

  • A hit is defined by the player being struck anywhere on the body by a bb, either fired from a gun or launched from a grenade or sprung trap.
  • Gun hits and ricochets do not count, but it is considered good play to ‘call them’.
  • When hit, you are to shout “hit”, raise your arm to indicate which player is out, and immediately remove yourself from the area by making your way to your re-spawn point, keeping your arm raised to prevent further hits being taken.

Deliberate cheating

  • Airsoft is an honesty game in which the best skirmishers are the most honest players who acknowledge the faintest of hits.
  • Any player who abuses this sacred rule will initially have their name placed on the “name and shame” board, ultimately being removed from the site for persistant cheaters.
  • Games are ruined by players who do not take their hits so abuse of this rule will not be tolerated.
  • If any player sees someone not taking their hits, they are to report the event to a member of staff, and not deal with it themselves.

Re-spawns

  • Unless otherwise told, re-spawns are for one minute at a given location.
  • Shout “back in“, before you rejoin play.

No respawn kills.

  • Be aware that different respawn rules may apply to the opposition during the same mission, and are subject to change during a mission. This is for safety reasons and to enhance game play.

Bang rule

  • To prevent the risk of very close range hits, the bang rule is used.
  • If a player has managed to sneak close enough to the enemy to touch them, then saying bang is seen as a hit. This is a safety concern and is not to be abused by a single player taking on a small army from 20 meters away; you will no doubt receive your just desserts in this case.

General

  • Avoid headshots in general, especially at close quarters, the body is a much bigger target and easier to hit.
  • No blind firing, you must be able to identify the target at which you are shooting.
  • No prospective firing, merely lighting up a bush or potential enemy hiding spot without actually identifying the opposition is not good play and will cost your team points.
  • If you shoot your own team member, you are also out and must respawn along with your victim.
  • Do not shoot at players who are out.
  • Flash bangs will have a kill radius of 5 metres, unless behind hard cover. Hard cover is deemed to be walled structures or ditches (not trees). Anyone inside a structure will be hit if the flash bang lands inside the perimeter, unless you are behind an internal wall.
  • No over aggressive play or overkill will be tolerated.
  • re-spawn points are designed to get players back into the game and are positioned away from the target areas, they are not to be guarded and used as ambush points to kill respawning players.
  • Medic rules will be issued along with missions or games that include the use of medics.
